Meclizine Hydrochloride (Dizzy-Gone) 25 mg tablet is a white, round, biconvex tablet, plain on both sides.
WHAT IS IN THE MEDICINE?
Dizzy-Gone 25 mg tablet contains the active ingredient Meclizine Hydrochloride.
STRENGTH OF THE MEDICINE
Each tablet contains 25 mg tablet of Meclizine Hydrochloride.
WHAT IS THE MEDICINE USED FOR?
Meclizine Hydrochloride 25 mg tablet is used in the prevention of nausea and vomiting associated with a variety of
conditions including motion sickness and for the symptomatic treatment of vertigo caused by Meniere’s disease and other
vestibular disorders. It is also used for the symptomatic relief of hypersensitivity reactions and pruritic skin disorders.
HOW MUCH AND HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU USE THIS MEDICINE?
The usual dose of Meclizine for motion sickness is 25 to 50 mg by mouth taken about one hour before travelling and
repeated every 24 hours if necessary; up to 100 mg daily in divided doses has been given for the treatment of vertigo and
WHEN SHOULD YOU NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE?
• If you are allergic to Meclizine.
• If you need to perform activities requiring mental alertness or physical coordination (e.g. operating a machine or driving a
motor vehicle) since drowsiness may occur with the use of Meclizine.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
CARE THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN WHEN TAKING THIS MEDICINE?
• Do not take more than the recommended dose.
• Do not use after the expiry date on the label.
